CONDITIONS
RIGHT OF RESERVATION
Plots may be reserved for an advance period of 10 years. Plots reserved in advance must fall within the row currently in use or one row ahead.
HEADSTONES
All memorials MUST comply with BS8415 (latest version)
A headstone or cross not exceeding one metre in height with a vase not exceeding 800 x 400mm, or a conventional flat and horizontal cremation plaque not exceeding 500 x 500mm.
Flower vases should ideally be incorporated into the headstone base or a vase independent of the headstone should be positioned immediately in front of the memorial. No additional headstones, vases, ornaments or plants/bushes/trees to be placed along the length of the grave. This is to facilitate grass cutting and any object so placed will be removed.
Photographic plaques to be affixed to headstones or bronze plaques are not permitted.
A copy of the design and wording of the memorial stone, cross or plaque shall be sent to the Parish Council for approval before erection takes place. The final decision on this rests with the Parish Council.
It is recommended that York stone or Portland stone is used for headstones as they age better. Other materials are at the discretion of the Parish Council.
GENERAL
All graves should be levelled within a year of the burial taking place.
The Parish Council reserves the right to remove, without notice, from any grave or vault, flowers, plants or wreaths that, in its opinion, have become unsightly and to dispose of the same in such a manner as deemed fit. No plastic bags are to be left on flowers or graves.
The Parish Council maintains the right to carry out such maintenance and development of the Cemetery as may be deemed necessary or desirable at any time.
The Parish Council has the right to amend these rules.
